                         Reflection on Project

Overall, this project has been an adventure full of pros and cons. There were some problems that came along the way but nothing that we didn't overcome. For example, we had to change the music to our film during the last few days because it had to be copywright free, so what ended up happening was that Ana's dad got us some music we could use because he's a music producer so he helped us out. She sent all of these to our group chat.

Then, there was also lots of fun of course. I feel like this project helped me develop so many skills like holding a camera in certain positions, editing, and producing a film from absolutetly nothing, just ideas. It was a first time experience for me since I've never taken any class like this one before, not even film. However I have to say that my absolute favorite favorite part was my CCR 2, the podcast. I had a really good time making it mixed with a lot of laughs. This project is definetly something I'll never forget and something that significantly developed my learning.
Here are some memories.

  Editing the CCR's

To edit both CCR's I used Adobe premier. It was my first time because I've used iMovie thw whole year but it honestly wasnt that bad, pretty easy.

For the 1st CCR which is the interview I added pop ups from the internet to represent some of what I'm saying, but I also added clips and pictures from my film opening so the viewer can see how it relates to my film. This one was a little hard to edit trying to make ll the clips flow together, but nothing impossible. I feel like those pop ups also make it all transition better, they look like this.

For the second CCR I made a podcast with a good friend of mine that also took this class. I think my favorite part about how this one turned out is the quality and sound. We used mics and a little tripod to hold the camera so it came out pretty nice. Also, the setting is beautiful. We used my mom’s cowork which has a really nice aesthetic to it. Then when it came to editing it was super easy which i loved. Since it’s a podcast and we filmed it all in 1 shot there was no need to edit so much. What I did do is create an ad on canvas, and voice over the sponsor in the podcast. Additionally I added copywriter free song in the beginning and the end, so it adds that little realistic tone to it. Overall, a really fun exorcice

                            Production of CCR

Hey Blog!

We have finally reached the last week for this project (week 8), and I couldn't be happier. It was a fun proccess don't get me wrong, but it was just so long and I thought I would never get through it.

So far I've finished filming my CCR's and I'm currently editing, but let me tell you about the production. So to answer question number 1 and 2 I did an interview while baking. I made some brownies while answering questions. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty difficult for me, I feel like the first 2 questions are not the easiest and multi-tasking was not as easy as I thought. I did make cuts withing the film and that's where I'll be adding some multi media/ pop ups kind of stuff so it doesn't get too boring like watching me talk all video. Here's what it looked like.

Then for my second CCR I did a podcast. To be honest, It was so fun, especially because I did it with my best friend. We both have this class so we helped each other out. Now since questions 3 and 4 were answered through the podcast, I do not want to add pop ups like in the first one, but there is a comercial about an app that helps your sleep incorporated that I made up. As for the setting I used my mom's cowork that is js so so so aesthetic and actually looks like a real podcast set-up. The quality is amazing and we also used micrphones to improve realism and the sound. We also had a lot of bloopers which made it really funny, and had some teachnical difficulties like my phone dying in the middle of the recroding, but nothing we were not able to solve. Here's how it went.

                   CCR Question 4 Research

Question 4 is:

How did you integrate technologies—software, hardware, and online—in this project?

The whole project was filmed on a Canon camera, which is meant for filming and taking pictures. We also used phones to film some scenes that did not look good on the Canon. For the software, I used Adobe Premier to edit the film opening, which provided many useful tools. In reality, I began by using iMovie, since it's what was available on my computer, but then I realized that Adobe just has better options and it's easier to manage. Also, I've been using Blogger to record all of my process throughout this project. This has helped me a lot because I've been able to organize my ideas and keep track of everything I've done so far.

Now, in my CCR I'm planning on adding like a short video quickly going through my blogs,  some pictures of editing and filming with the camera. Something like this

 CCR Question 3 Research

After questions 1 and 2, there's another type of CCR that I need to do, which is where questions 3 and 4 will be answered. Question 3 is:

How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

Now, this one is to be answered on a personal level, which I plan to answer completely honestly. I will state that I've never taken a class like AICE Media or any film-related one either, so I in fact had NO skills whatsoever. But, as the year progressed, I learned a lot—more than I expected. Today I can film a variety of shots and angles, plan a production, and edit afterwards. I am capable of turning a simple idea into a reality through filming, which are skills I never thought I had.

While I'm answering the questions, I want there to be pop-ups of pictures that represent what I'm saying. For example, when I'm talking about my filming processes, show a picture like this one

As well as videos and pictures from the actual film opening.

                     CCR Question 2 Research

The question is :

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

The answer to this question will be in the same CCR as the first one. So they'll be combined but it'll be obvious which is which.

My product engages with the audience, especially teens and young adults, by showing through the film social problems around the world. The film is based on peer pressuring and drinking at a young age, which are two things very common around us. This means that my film can connect with its audience on a deep, emotional level and even make some feel identified. Now, this is distributed as a real media text because the role of an innocent person going through peer pressure has been present since years ago. It's something that has been present in every generation and has always had consequences. For me it's important that this film spreads out the message and shows the world how bad peer pressuring can be, especially in teens.
